The Bronx Botanical Garden

Published on August 31, 2009 By Eddie Pena

I went to The Botanical Gardens the other day and instead of drawing flowers I found myself in the middle of a cooking demonstration. It is one of many summer-long exhibitions the Garden is hosting.  It was fun drawing these guys, but the best part was eating the food! Thanks.

This was the last stop for Bravo’s open casting calls for a new hour long competition series among 13 up and coming contemporary artists.

Yes, I was in front of the White Columns at 5:30 am on a Sunday morning. There were a few other tryouts there that looked like they had camped out all night.

Published on July 13, 2009 By Eddie Pena

Iago is a fictional character in Shakespeare’s Othello. I had been reading Othello and began to think about to best way to describe Iago, the deceiver, manipulator, reptile. His tongue split down the middle ready to speak dual truths.
I know people like this, they come to believe their own truths and they believe [...]
